About the event
What happens in Everett doesn't stay in Everett; we have to recognize how intertwined our stories are — a city fighting to keep families housed, kids safe from bullets, and for dreams bigger than displacement. Seattle for Everett is more than a fundraiser; it’s a night of spoken word and local music that demands we stand up, stand together, and speak truth louder than gunshots and rent hikes.
This evening, Seattle poet Jamaar Smiley and local musician Sean Curran will move us through verses and chords about gun violence and the fight for home — echoing the very issues at the heart of this campaign.
Because what happens in Everett echoes across Puget Sound — gun violence, rising rents, broken promises know no city limits. Stand with us, Seattle. Your voice, your dollars, your presence push this movement beyond borders. Join us, and let’s build a region that protects people, not…
