Public Safety:
holistic. Human. Effective.
Safety is foundational — but it doesn’t look the same for everyone. I believe in a holistic public safety approach that goes beyond just rhetoric and centers community wellbeing.
That means fully staffing our emergency response systems by filling the 90 current vacancies at the Everett Police Department, while also investing in proven community violence intervention strategies that save lives before 911 is ever dialed. We must also partner with mental health responders, community outreach teams, and violence interrupters to address root causes.
Looking toward Highway 99, safety must be a cornerstone — with better pedestrian infrastructure and design that makes everyone feel secure. True safety is proactive, not just reactive; my work in the gun violence prevention space has taught the efficacy of this approach, and I will demonstrate this at city hall.

Housing:
Development not Displacement
Everett is growing, but we must grow with intentionality. That means making room for new neighbors while protecting longtime residents.
I support smart, inclusive housing policies that expand affordable options, strategically increase density, and promote development without displacement. By promoting tenant stability, incentivizing affordable housing developers to come to Everett, and embracing mixed-use zoning, we can ensure that Everett is a place where people of all income levels can live with dignity and stability — just a short walk away from the services they need.

Transportation:
everett on the move
As Everett prepares for the arrival of Sound Transit’s Link Light Rail, we have an opportunity to create a truly connected, future-ready transportation system.
I support protecting Everett Transit as a city-run agency that understands our local needs — and resisting efforts to consolidate with regional systems that can't serve our neighborhoods equally. I’ll champion safer streets with better bike infrastructure, continuous sidewalks, and crosswalks that keep pedestrians safe.
I support multimodal transportation that prioritizes mobility for all — whether you're walking, biking, rolling, or riding. And by aligning our land use policies with transportation goals, we can build more transit-oriented communities that reduce traffic, improve access, and help Everett move smarter.
